How do I prepare for Energy Healing?
Wear loose, comfortable clothing.
Drink plenty of water.
Refrain from consuming alcohol, caffeine, red meat,
or anything that could stress your digestion.Let the practitioner know if you need special
accommodations to ensure your comfort.Be in an open and receptive mode to receive nurturing life force energy. Source energies always respect free will. If your intention is not to receive these energies, these energies may sit in escrow until the moment you are willing to receive them.
Relax. Don't worry if you fall asleep. Sleep can often increase the effects of healing.
During the Session
During a healing session, the client lies fully clothed on a massage table. The practitioner uses light touch above and on the energy centers of the body to facilitate balance, harmony and relaxation. The practitioner serves as a conduit of high-frequency energies and the client puts her or himself in a receptive state to receive the clear frequencies of universal love and light that they might not have been able to access as easily on their own.
Most Commonly Reported Sensations
Deep relaxation, peace and well-being.
Sometimes, heat, chills, vibration, soft warmth.
A surfacing of painful memories or past psychological or physical traumas.
Seeing colors, shapes or other non-physical images in the mind’s eye.
Some clients might not feel anything until several days later after they've had time to process the energies at a deeper level.
If you sense pain surfacing, know that it is likely coming up to be released so that you can reconcile with it and move forward.
Seek a professional medical opinion for major symptoms. Reiki can be used in conjunction with, but often not completely in place of, standard medical care.
After a Session
Relax, breathe, and take it easy as your body, mind and soul
process the new frequencies.Drink plenty of water.
Take a walk in nature.
Meditate and practice mindfulness.
Check in with yourself (body, mind and spirit).
Remain open-minded.
Accept what feels loving and resonates with you.
Release any need to control outcomes or meet preconceived expectations.
